Psalm 69:17 "Do not hide your face from your servant, for I am in distress, make haste to answer me"
How often do you pray an urgent prayer, one needing an immediate response? I know I have, but through the years I have also learned that God answers not in my time, but His time. The answer is not always the answer I want, but often it is the answer He knows is best for me or for those I am praying for. I know this because as a servant I have learned to trust in God.
I have also experienced the power of prayer. Whenever two or more of us can gather in Jesus name and pray, He is present and He takes action. We need to build faith communities of prayer, to open our hearts and minds to the presence of God. To allow God to weave in and amongst us, to hear our prayers and respond in His time. Miraculous and marvelous things can happen! I know because I have experienced them and you can too!
Begin and end your days in prayer! Extend a word of thanks to God at meal time for the blessings before you. Talk to God in conversation all day if you like. Gather in community of two or more and share your faith in conversation and prayer. God will be present, He will listen and He will act when the time is right!
Matthew 18:20 "For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them."

Thank you for this reminder of God's Presence. I think we get caught up in our own world and have forgotten to pray, have forgotten to actually think about God except on Sundays . . . sad. Then when we need God, we expect him to fix it all. I need to be more intentional with prayer because i am one of those people who have slipped away, thank you for your reminder.
