Earlier this week I had the great fortune to spend time with a colleague over coffee- when we parted she gave me a book entitled In the Sanctuary of Women by Jan Richardson. As I read the verse from John 4 today I thought of her: "but those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty. The water that I will give will become in them a spring of water gushing up to eternal life". My friend gave me a drink of water as one sent from God. I opened the book after she left and read this blessing:
In the midst of your life;
the daily of it,
the ordinary of it,
the noontime and night of it,
let there be moments
that open to you
the hallowed and holy of it.
May this blessing be your blessing today, may it be a drink of water for you. Pastor Joy
Thank you for an inspiring message. I feel the ordinary of my life but really enjoy it. I also feel the specialness of never being thirsty.
